The only team without a sack so far this preseason just got a little help. Per Kyle Meinke of Mlive, the Detroit Lions have traded a conditional 2020 7th round pick to the San Francisco 49ers for outside linebacker Eli Harold.

Harold was a 3rd round pick in 2015 and has started 24 games the last two years, recording 5 sacks and 57 tackles during his first three seasons.
Eli Harold is an elite athlete at DE, boasting amazing speed and agility. He was slightly undersized, and figures to play a similar role to Devon Kennard in this Lions defense. pic.twitter.com/X5FIZvYyoY

One of the elite athletes at his position, he will look to bolster a pass rush that has thus far been lacking. With roster cuts coming in less than two weeks, Harold will need to do all he can to impress the coaching staff quickly to earn a spot on Matt Patricia’s initial 53-man roster.
