A battered and bruised Comerica Park leaves a battered and bruised Tigers team as they drop game 1 of a 3 games series to the Bluejays 7-2.

Justin Verlander (5-7) seemed to have continued where he left off prior to the games break. Going 5.1 innings 3 Hits 2 Earned Runs 3 base on balls and 5 strikeouts with 114 balls pitched.

Shane Greene came in to relieve Verlander in the 6th inning giving up 1 hit, 1 earned run. Walked a batter with the bases loaded

Blaine Hardy continues to struggle giving up 3 Earned Runs walked 3 batters and struck out 1 batter increasing his ERA to 6.16.

Andrew Romine hit a solo homerun in the 9th to ignite any type of rally the Tigers could generate. Likewise nothing came of it.

Leaving 9 on base. The Tigers struggles showed by going 0-5 with runners in scoring position.

The Tigers will look to even the series tomorrow, game starts at 7:10 pm.

Your starters for tomorrow are Francisco Liriano (5-4) ERA 5.56 Vs Michael Fulmer ( 9-6 ) ERA 3.19

With the loss tonight the Tigers are now 39-49 on the season.
