In Game 1 Anibal Sanchez stepped up to the rubber  this afternoon to face a high powered line up and Central Rival Cleveland Idians. Sanchez made it to the 3rd before giving up any runs or hits. When Carlos Satana stepped to the plate and hit a single, and would eventually score on a Kipnis Sac fly giving the Indians a 1-0 Lead.

Detroit Bats came to life finally in the bottom of the 3rd inning. With JD Martinez hit a solo shot to deep LF. The very next hitter Miguel Cabrera followed JD up for a Back to back Jack to LF aswell giving Detroit the 2-1 lead.

The Tigers didn’t look back as they added 5 more runs on the board, Castellanos went 3-3 a HR Shy of the cycle. Giving Detroit the win in game 1 7-4 Victory and Detroits second straight win. Sanchez was solid through 6 with 5 K’S  4 Hits and 1 walk on the afternoon. But had to settle for the no decision, with Shane Green getting his 2nd win on the season.

Detroit will go for their 3rd straight  in Tonight’s Double Header GM 2 starting at 7:15 PM ET
