Tigers have won the first game of a 4 game series against the Baltimore Orioles with a final score of Tigers 7; Orioles 5.

Matt Boyd started the game out just fine after a couple of rain delays, but then struggled quite a bit. But the Orioles were no match for Detroits BP With Shane Greene slamming the door shut for his 3rd straight save since becoming The Tigers Closer.

Matt Boyd- 4.1 innings, 6 strikeouts, 4 walks, 3 Earned Runs, gave up 5 hits.

In the first inning Ian Kinsler led off the game with a solo homerun on a 1-2 count.

2 batters later Justin Upton hit a home run, after Upton hit the homerun their was a delay again.

Miguel Cabrera had 2 RBI’s tonight, Miki Mahtook also chipped in with a sac fly RBI.

Tomorrow night the same 2 teams face off as the Tigers will send Justin Verlander to the hill, game time starts at 7:10 pm.
