These Tigers Do Not Quit

How many games have you seen the Tigers rally and come back to win this season? Probably quite a few of them and tonight was one of those nights. Just when you think the game was over at 8-3 in the 6th inning, the Tigers come back with a home-run from Nick Castellanos to make it 8-4 in the bottom of the 6th. Then in the bottom of the 7th, McCann had an RBI double to make it 8-5, Machado grounded into a fielder’s choice to make it 8-6, a JaCoby Jones RBI double to make it 8-7, a Kozma RBI double to tie the game at 8. When Andrew Miller came in relief of Ohtero, he walked John Hicks to bring in the game winning run to make it 9-8 and that was a five run inning for the Tigers.

Stumpf comes into the top of the 8th and was able to get out of a bases loaded jam while Shane Greene came into the ninth and was able to retire two in a row before Rajai Davis reached on an error and then Greene finished the game off with a grounder to short. This win brings the Tigers record to 19-22 and one game of first place in the AL Central.
