What would Monday be without movie news?  Well, I guess it would still be Monday, but it wouldn’t be as good.

Ocean’s 8 was the Queen of the box office this week with a reported $41.5 million haul.

The female-led heist movie is the fourth in the modern Ocean’s movies that began in 2001.  The movie has stiff competition coming up with Jurrasic World 2 and The Incredibles 2, but it seems well placed to stick around for a little bit.

The final adult member of the Losers Club has been cast.  Isiah Mustafa (best known as the Old Spice Guy) will portray the role of adult Mike Hanlon.

The other confirmed members are: Jessica Chastain as Beverly Marsh, James McAvoy as Bill Denbrough, James Ransone as Eddie Kaspbrak, Bill Hader as Richie Tozier, Andy Bean as Stanley Uris, and Jay Ryan as Ben Hanscom.

The sequel is set to hit theaters next year.

In news that is disturbingly frequent and voluminous, John Lasseter (a founding member of Pixar) is stepping down after what he calls ‘missteps’.

Others paint a more vile picture, however.  Lasseter has been accused by at least one female at the company of rubbing her leg during meetings and being inappropriate.

According to Deadline Lasseter developed somewhat of a fixation on the young women picked to play the faeries to promote a line of toys.

Allegedly they were flown to New York on Lasseter’s instance.  He took them out drinking and then to a party the next day.

According to a former Pixar executive, “He was inappropriate with the fairies,” allegedly long, unwanted hugs and whispers.  “We had to have someone make sure he wasn’t alone with them.”

In happier news, Reese Witherspoon seemed to confirm the rumors that Legally Blonde 3 is a go.

It’s true… #LegallyBlonde3

A post shared by Reese Witherspoon (@reesewitherspoon) on

Witherspoon posted a picture of her in a pink bikini on both her Instagram and Twitter pages.  Fans of the movies will remember this as a recreation of her Harvard admissions video.

No word on when the film will begin production but we’ll keep you posted.

This is an unconfirmed rumor but Reddit user 4LOM claims to have inside information.  It should be noted that 4-LOM was the name of a droid bounty hunter in the Empire Strikes Back.

According to 4LOM, there is a scene in the new Star Wars where DJ (Benicio Del Toro) is back.  It seems he’s in debt to the Hutt clan and he, Finn, Poe, and Rose are sitting eating together before the First Order comes in and breaks them up.

The leader of the Hutts now that Jabba is dead?  Rotta Hutt, Jabba’s son, and a character that appeared in the Clone Wars cartoon.

I don’t know the validity of this information of course.  What I can tell you is that 4LOM claims to be a PA of someone high up at LucasFilm.

His Reddit profile was created less than a month ago and his only other post appears to be from when he first joined leaking some information about concept art.

What do you think?   Is that credible?  Does it sound like a horrible idea?

That’s all for now.  Bye!
