The Detroit Lions have waived the recently signed UDFA safety Anthony Sherrils out of Missouri.

Which came as a surprise to me, seeing as Sherrils has good size, and potential at the safety position. But, as we all know Bob Quinn and Matt Patricia know what they want in a player top to bottom.

Sherrils was a productive player in college, tallying 63 total tackles in 2017 at Missouri as a senior, and showed athletic prowess at the position.

Regardless, Quinn & Co are making moves, could this be to free up a roster spot for a Johnathan Hankins? We will have to see in the coming days, stay tuned!
