The Detroit Lions announced Wednesday afternoon they have signed free-agent CB Raysean Pringle. (Contract terms were not disclosed)

Raysean Pringle was an undrafted free agent out of Southern Utah in 2017 by the Green Bay Packers last May. He started off his rookie season on the Packers practice squad as he didn’t make the 53-man roster. He later joined the Jaguars practice squad before coming back to the Packers in November.

In college, Pringle played as a running back and wide receiver. In 33 games, he finished with 228 carries for 1,130 yards and 14 yards along with 36 receptions for 329 yards.

Pringle most likely won’t see his name on the Lions 53-man roster this year as they just added DeShawn Shead to their secondary. With only being 24 years old, Pringle still has time to adapt to the defensive game and work towards a spot on a roster.
