Bad news with the Injury bug already bites yet another Detroit Lions Defense. Early In the 2nd Quarter of the Lions first preseason game against the Indianapolis Colts, Kerry Hyder was carted off the field clearly in severe pain.
Coach Caldwell confirmed our worst fears in a post game interview expressing his own concern for how severe Hyder’s Left Leg injury could be a torn Achilles. That’s preparing for worst case scenario. As we all know if there is any tear in Kerry’s Achilles his season could very well be over before his 2017 season even got started
In Hyder’s rookie season his never quit mentality and hard work ethic quickly grab the attention of the coaches and the entire NFL, Including the fans as he became a team favorite instantaneously.
Kerry Hyder played in all 16 games of the 2016 season. Contributing 23 Solo Tackles, 13 Assisted Tackles, and 8 Sacks for a loss of 44 yards.
