Today we lost a great man in hockey, Bryan Murray former GM of the Red Wings from 1990 to 1995 has passed away from cancer.

He helped manage during Scotty Bowman’s first coaching stint with the Red Wings , also GM’d the Ottawa Senators and the Anaheim Mighty Ducks.

Bryan Murray was a very successful coach winning 620 games, 124 with your Red Wings. Murray was very succesful as a coach. He took his team to the playoffs 12 out of 13 seasons.

All of us here at Michigan Sports Network send prayers to his family. Thank you Bryan for all your hard work for the Red Wings and other organizations.
