The Detroit Lions and GM Bob Quinn have made it clear signing Stafford is their top priority, Even if it means making Matthew Stafford the highest paid QB and Player in the NFL. With rumors swirling about the Oakland Raiders considering a contract extension for their QB Derek Carr of $25 million per season absolutely sets the table for the Detroit Lions to Ink their Star QB Matthew Stafford to a Historic Contract Extension rumored to be an estimated $34 Million per season making Stafford the highest paid player in NFL Ever.

On Tuesday the Lions team President Rod Wood was asked by ESPN if he was comfortable signing Matthew Stafford making him the highest paid player in the NFL. Wood made no mistake in saying whatever the team needs to do in getting him signed to an extension will get done. And rightfully so, Considering he has broken just about every passing record and stat since being Drafted #1 overall in the First round of the 2009 Draft by the Detroit Lions.

From the moment Matthew stepped onto the field the odds were stacked against him joining arguably one of the worst Franchises in Football at the time. But still the Detroit Lions fan base had high hopes and expectations of the first round draft pick to help bring the team from the depths of the basement. And to no surprise with Matthew Stafford’s competitive and natural ability stepped up and delivered like no other Lions QB has before.

Since Stafford stepped onto the field his numbers are second to none to ANY QB who has worn the Honolulu Blue and Silver. He has thrown for 30,303 yards, and 187 Touchdowns since the 2009-2010 season. Just last season the Lions stud QB threw for 4,327 yards ,24 TD’S And only threw 10 Interceptions, and that’s without his favorite weapon Calvin Johnson who abruptly and unexpectedly stepped away from the game. Proving all of his critics who said Matthew Stafford’s numbers would drastically drop without his #1 receiver on the field dead wrong,

There’s a new sheriff in town and his name is Bob Quinn. With Quinn working his magic and bringing his championship or bust element to the Detroit Lions. Bob is now building around the star QB signing FA’s to surround and protect Detroit’s and the NFL’S Most Dominant QB’S In the game today. Opening the door for what should be Matthew Stafford’s Best season yet. Only time will tell when the 2018 Detroit lions step onto the field. Until than, PAY THE MAN!
