The Detroit Lions re-sign restricted free agent WR TJ Jones. (Reportedly worth $1.9M)

In 2014, the Detroit Lions drafted WR TJ Jones in the sixth round 189th overall. Jones didn’t play his rookie year due to nerve issues in his arm but has been on the 53-man roster for 3 years with a total of 27 games played, 45 receptions, 624 yards and 2 TD’s.
TJ Jones enters his 5th season with Detroit after he had an excellent year in 2017 where he put up 30 receptions, 399 yards and 1 touchdown. This deepens the Lions WR core as he will be the number 4 receiver behind Golden Tate, Marvin Jones Jr and Kenny Golloday.
Jones went down in week 15 last season with a shoulder injury which made him miss the final two games.
He underwent surgery this past offseason but still has no timetable on when he will make it back on the field.
