A Disappointing End For Miggy

The dreaded news that Tiger fans did not want to hear regarding Miguel Cabrera has been officially confirmed. He is done for the season and will be going under the knife to repair a ruptured tendon in his left bicep.

He left tonight’s game against the Twins after taking a hard swing and did not return.

What Does This Mean?

This is unfortunate news for the Tigers and they will now go with Niko Goodrum or John Hicks at first base for the rest of the season. Will the Tigers move on from Miggy? That cannot be answered until the season is done and it seems that Cabrera’s days as one of the best hitters in the MLB is over.
